Owner
My name is Reagan Sotelo and I am a licensed Esthetician and certified Sugarist. When I'm not meeting with clients, I can be found with my amazing husband and three beautiful girls.
I graduated from Douglas J Aveda in Grand Rapids in 2017. After working as a sugarist for a year in Grand Rapids, I took the leap to open Sugaring by Reagan in 2018.
My dream is to consistently foster a safe and welcoming environment for clients of any ethnic background, body type, lifestyle, etc. I worked with a trauma-specialized counselor in the Grand Rapids area to develop a curriculum for my staff to be trained in a trauma-sensitive approach to everything we do at the spa. We work hard to think outside the box to come up with creative and compassionate solutions to make each client as comfortable as possible regardless of any emotional, mental, or physical challenges that may be present.
I absolutely love what I do because I get the daily opportunity to build into the lives of people in my community and to teach about the sweeter way to remove hair--sugaring!
OUR MISSION
Sugaring by Reagan serves the Kalamazoo community by offering natural hair removal & skincare treatments performed by highly skilled professionals. Our staff is trained not only in their trade but in trauma-sensitive approaches to treatments. We seek to be a safe space not only for relaxation but for healing for all clients, including those who have experienced trauma of any kind.

My name is Lauren Sherburn, I am a licensed Esthetician and trained Sugarist. I attended Douglas J Aveda starting in the winter of 2020 and graduated in September 2020. Once I graduated, I spent a while searching for a spa that was a good fit for me and knew that I had as soon as I found Sugaring by Reagan. I love being able to help women of all different backgrounds be able to feel like their best selves. It is truly the most rewarding job! When I'm not at work, you can find me hanging out with my friends and family or most likely shopping! :)

My name is La'Rais Clopton and I am a licensed Esthetician. Growing up watching my mother as a Cosmetologist, I knew I needed to work in the beauty industry. While in cosmetology school, I took a liking to the facial and hair removal portion and decided that's the direction I really wanted to pursue. I became licensed in Michigan in July of 2022. My main goal is to make sure all my clients feel relaxed and at ease. I am not only passionate about skin care and the art of sugaring, but I am passionate about building long term relationships with my clients!

My name is Jamilah Parker and I am a licensed Esthetician. I'm the proud mom of two amazing teenagers, a son & a daughter. I'm a Kalamazoo native who loves traveling, being by the water, watching movies, & attending my kiddos sporting events. I also love a good sunset! I graduated from Salon Professional Academy in March of 2022 and became licensed shortly thereafter. I started off as a client at Sugaring by Reagan, and the amazing opportunity to join the team aligned so perfectly with what I was looking for! I truly love what I do. Being able to be a part of someone's self-care journey is top tier for me! Introducing clients to this art of hair removal & building relationships with them is so rewarding!

My name is Maggie and I became a licensed Esthetician after graduating from Douglas J Aveda Institute. I have always enjoyed and been passionate about skin care and absolutely love doing what I do every day as a profession! I take pride in learning and growing as much as I can to be able to provide my clients a positive and pleasant experience each visit. In my free time, you would definitely find me outside or lounging on a beach when it’s especially nice out. Otherwise I’ll be hanging at home with my pets, or spending time with my family. I am so excited to be able to offer my services helping others find joy and confidence being in their skin, too!

My name is Liz Hawkins and I am the Spa Manager/Keeper of the Vibe. :) I started as a client of Reagan's and through building a close relationship with her, eventually the opportunity to work at her company came up and I was so excited to take it! When I'm not working, you can find me with my husband and sweet son. My favorite part of my job is working alongside the other members of our team to care for each client that comes through the door in such a personal way and making them feel safe and connected to our little corner of the world!

My name is Emma Whitehead and my job here at the spa is to keep it smelling fresh and looking great to keep our clients happy and coming back! I take pride in making sure our spa's environment is one where clients feel welcome and safe. I am incredibly lucky to work alongside some of the most amazing and down to earth women I have ever known. My favorite part of working here at Sugaring by Reagan is our mission. We do our best to help clients feel amazing not only on the outside but in the inside too and that holds a special place in my heart.
